The older I get, the more I recognize and appreciate nice people. Genuine, considerate, thoughtful, decent good hearted people. I've found myself intentionally distancing myself from bitter, mean spirited and generally negative people. I value intelligence, but there are days I'd rather spend time with the nicest person in the room over the smartest person in the room. Not everyone can be smart. However, we all have the capacity to be nice.
